The EU required data retention collect an enormous amount of information about each phone user, later ruled unconstitutional. But they are still recording the data. This a blueprint for surveillance of society. If this had been present in 1989 the STASI (secret police) could have tracked everyone that was protesting and the Berlin wall would have never fallen. |
