LibertyLion® has changed its name from LibertyLion® University to LibertyLion® Agora, a place where people historically gathered to learn and discuss the issues of the day.

The Roman Agora in Athens built during the Roman Period

Since its inception more than a decade ago LibertyLion® has used the name LibertyLion® University. But it is adopting a new name that more accurately conveys its purpose. The new name is LibertyLion® Agora.

Anciently the Agora in Athens was a gathering place for education through open minded discussion of civic affairs and other public interests of the city. As LibertyLion’s purpose is promotion of knowledge and understanding of the principles that support a free society through presentations on fundamental economic and political concepts, summaries of the most relevant news, and fostering “civil society” by helping people find avenues of constructive contribution by joining those seeking to improve society through private endeavors, changing LibertyLion from a “University” to a virtual “Agora” will clarify its purpose.

The Agora

Liberty is a Learned State that can be Forgotten   LIBERTY LION AGORA is a place where people can share what they know, stay abreast of current events, and learn about opportunities to make a difference.  It includes a Wikipedia-like Knowledgebase of Liberty that acts as a clearing house that combines, highlights, and amplifies all the freedom-promoting information and activities flourishing around the country, keeping users informed and involved.

Leading People to Freedom

The human spirit rebels against force, whether physical or mental.  One cannot teach intelligent people, particularly in the area of political ideas, by dogmatic rhetoric. If people are to be won over to the value and critical importance of the principles of liberty for freedom and prosperity, they must be allowed to draw their own conclusions from objective, undistorted facts.  To this end, LibertyLion®, has been designed to help those who understand liberty’s importance present the basis for that understanding in ways that help others think logically and come to their own conclusions about the tradeoffs between the critical concepts of “public” interest” and “common good” that can seriously infringe on the individuals right to pursue their lives as they see fit instead of the someone who wields government’s monopoly on the use of force to determines how people should live.

LibertyLion® Agora provides public access to its educational content for discussion. In addition to its WIKI PAGES many new features listed below will be rolling out, beginning in the summer of 2023, including:
