Sharing Web Links

Searching Shared Links

You can easily search through the list of links shared by others. You can even vote (rate) these links.

1. Click the Web Links tab.

2. To sort the links:

   • Click Popular Links to sort the list of links by most votes.
   • Click Newest Links to sort the list of links by newest sumbitted.
   • Click My Links to display all of the links that you have shared.
3. To visit a particular link, simply click the link's URL.

Rating Links

To rate a link, click the star rating (1 to 5) for the link. The system displays the total number of votes for a particular link. If you have voted, your vote is highlighted.

 

 

Place your mouse over the icon to display:

• Total number of votes
• The average vote (on a scale of -2 to +2)
• Your paricular vote.

To remove your vote, click the  x  icon.

Sharing a new Web Link

Did you find a useful or interesting Web Link that you want to share with others?

1. Click the Add a Link tab.

2. Complete each field on the page:

   • Type: Select Web Link. (required)
   • Name: Enter the name of the website. (required)
   • URL: Enter the full web address of the link. Be sure to include the http:// portion of the link! (required)
   • Worldview:
   • Description: Enter a short (up to 500 characters) description of the link or website.
   • Associated Page: Is there a page on LibertyLion that is related? Start typing the page's name and the system will auto-complete the name.
   • Image: You can upload an image or logo for this site.
3. Click Add Link.
